The island capital Losinj

✭ 20 km away from Nerezine is Losinj, a lively island metropolis on the water. Formerly an important Croatian seafaring town with shipbuilding and its own merchant fleet, it later became a popular Austrian resort. Today Losinj is the tourist center of the island with numerous stores, kiosks and cafes around the large harbor basin.
